Last Sunday, the ACYOA family proudly held a ceremony and ribbon cutting for their new Youth Room following Badarak. The ACYOA finally accomplished their goal to renovate the Youth Room thanks to the dedication and hard work of many people. During the ceremony, the new Youth Room was blessed by Fr. Abraham and Fr. Karekin Kasparian, surrounded by many children, ACYOA members and parishioners. A special fellowship hosted by the ACYOA Juniors and Seniors followed where Fr. Abraham, Aram Ciamician (Parish Council Chair) and Dr. Lynn Cetin (Parish Council ACYOA Liaison) spoke in support of our youth. Brian Sarafyan (ACYOA Seniors Chair) and Stephen Sirounian (ACYOA Juniors member) also spoke about the importance of ACYOA.
The new Youth Room is still in need of furniture and other items to make it feel like "home." The Parish Council challenged the parish by announcing that they would match monies raised up to the first $2000 to help buy the needed items. By the end of the fellowship, over $1500 was raised. Those who wish to donate to the ACYOA Youth Room should contact Youth Director Medeia Mark at Medeia.email@example.com. The ACYOA would like to thank the entire community for their constant support. The ACYOA is always welcoming new youth to join our family here at Holy Martyrs.
